How Does Bolton Skip Hire Work?
Considering hiring a skip for the first time – or just need a little refresher on the process involved?
Nothing could be easier than getting hold of a waste container for your building project, premises renovation, home clear-out or landscaping job. This article will tell you everything you need to know about skip hire in Bolton.
Where We Operate
Our name may be Bolton Skip Hire, but we also provide skip hire Horwich, Leyland, Wigan, Preston, Chorley – virtually all over Lancashire. If you’re not sure if we’ll service your location, simply get in touch with us to check.
How to Arrange Delivery
So how do you organise skip hire Bolton, Preston or any of the nearby towns? It’s very simple. Either make your booking online right here or give us a call on 01204383737.
We’ll need to know the size of skip you need, how long you think you’ll need it, where it’s going and whether or not you need a permit to put it on a road (we’ll get to that later).
You’ll need to make the full payment for your skip in advance, and you can do this either online or over the phone using your bank card.
Working Out Where to Put Your Skip
The best spot for a skip is one that offers a large enough area and safe access – both for our delivery vehicle and for you to place items inside. The ground should be relatively flat and clear of obstructions.
If you don’t have a patch of private land that is big enough, we can contact the local council on your behalf to get a permit so that we can place it on the road. We’ll need a couple of days’ notice to arrange this.
Filling Your Skip
It’s best to try and fill your skip evenly so that it can be safely collected, and be sure not to overfill it!
Most waste can go in our skips for hire in Wigan and nearby areas, but – for safety – please don’t use them to dispose of gas cylinders, explosives, asbestos, electricals like TVs, computers, fridges and freezers, batteries, solvents, oils, paints, plasterboard and medical waste.
Getting Your Skip Collected
As soon as your skip is full, you can give us a call and we’ll come and collect it as soon as possible. Please do make sure that we’ll have full access to your skip after requesting collection. We’ll be able to come and get your container even without you on site as long as we can get in!
Our hire period covers up to three weeks, but you can arrange collection any time within that period. If you don’t think you’ll be ready by the time those three weeks are up, just get in touch with us and we’ll help you make further arrangements.
So – whether you require skip hire in Chorley, Bolton, Leyland, Wigan, Preston or anywhere else nearby, simply follow the steps above to ensure everything goes smoothly.
